Weekend Tour - Caves, Canyons, Vani Museum


Our guests will relax at weekends in our hotel complex - Tskaltubo Epic Hotel and Spa. At the the same time they will visit the caves and canyons of Imereti Region and visit the Vani Museum of Antiquity of the world importance.

Day 2 - Caves and canyons tour.

Breakfast.

Prometheus Cave is the largest karst cave in Georgia.Visitors will be enchanted by the mysterious underground landscapes of the cave. Stalagmites, stalactites, and petrified waterfalls, formed over millions of years, create a uniquely magical atmosphere. A complete walking path is 1,060 m. long that goes through large caverns, bypassing underground rivers and even a lake. Visitors can extend their visit by taking optional 10 - minute - long boat trip. The constant temperature inside the cave is 14 degrees year-round.

Visit Okatse Canyon and Kinchkha Waterfall. Okatse Canyon consists of the Dadiani Forest Park and the pedestrian bridge over the canyon. Panoramic views of the canyon overlook the hanging bridge. 6 km from Okatse we will visit Kinchkha Cascading Waterfall, which is one of the largest waterfalls in Georgia.

Lunch.

Visiting Martvili Canyon. Our guests will visit the canyon and take a boat trip in its beautiful gorge.

Day 3 - Vani Antique Museum and Dikhashkho Geyser.

Breakfast.

Drive to the direction of Vani. The Vani Archaeological Museum and Ancient City is a list of UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List. Archaeological excavations in the city revealed a highly developed culture of classic era city. Archeologists think that this place was described in the mythical land of Colchis, where Jason and the Argonauts traveled to obtain the Golden Fleece. A large part of the archeological treasures of Georgia is the golden fund found in the city of Vani. The museum exposition covers the period from VIII to I century BC. Here is an exposition depicting the presence of Vani as a temple city. The permanent exhibition presents architecture, goldsmithing, bronze sculptures and their fragments.

Geyser of Dikhashkho. Geyser hot water flows from the ground and accumulates in 2 artificially arranged pools. Due to its unique visual and healing properties. Dikhashkho Geyser is one of the most popular places in Imereti region for tourists.

Lunch - a picnic in nature.
